I also remember drinking mb as a broke teenager although my reason was that no other prick was drinking it. Therefore if I saw somebody drinking it I knew it was mine!

Luxury! When we were kids, we couldn't even afford to drink new MB. We had to wait until it had been consumed by others and lap it up out of the urinal...

Come to think of it, it didn't taste much different.

You got to drink it out of a urinal?
You lucky bastard. We were so poor we couldnt afford to go to places with a urinal.
We had to lick it off the coarse bitumen car park after the drunks were kicked out of the pub.

You spat out the sand and stones?
    You lucky bastard.
We were so poor we could only afford to eat the sand and stones.
I remember whenever there was a birthday in our family Mum would give us a real treat by mixing the sand and stones together to make rock cakes. Fond memories.

spot on, I'm a young bloke. All I wanted was a tough as dyna for years. I cut my teeth on sporties and custom choppers now I'm having the best time on my Low Rider S. A proper modern classic.

    Quoting Geoff3DMN on 11 Jun 2018 06:01 AM

If I had to pick a bike today that would be as fondly remembered as the FXR is now in 20 years time I'd bet on the Lowrider S 110.

As for the Softail guys, I don't have a problem with them but how many people do you see talking about the 110S Softail model the way they talk about the Lowrider S?

Not many from what I've seen, I've said before and I'll say it again, if they had to drop one of the model ranges then it should have been the Softail and NOT the dynas.

    Quoting Smokey61 on 25 Jul 2018 09:33 AM

They dropped the Dyna *and* Softail frames. They only kept the name 'Softail'.

The rear frame/swingarm is the problem with the new frames. It looks like a WL rather than a UL/Knuck/Pan.

I don’t see it that way.  Whilst it’s true that it’s a new frame it’s still a ‘softail’ frame (hidden shock, fake hard tail).

The new frame should have had twin shocks, it could have been updated to be lighter and have better cornering clearance.

There are rumours now of an updated touring frame with a mono shock, if so then I’ve bought my last new big HD (I might pick up a run out 1200 sporty to see my years out, and just keep the SGS in the shed for long trips).

    Hey Geoff3dman,
you are an old prick, as myself and as such I'd say you are a traditionalist being brought up on Twin rear shocks. My first Mono shock was Yam Tenere 83, from there to a lot of others. HD with their iconic Fatboy, opened a door that albeit extremely interesting, many still cannot grasp. Self bought new Fatboy, 06, replaced rear {well- under shocks} with Fornales, front race tek, and shitloads a stuff, as ya do. But why should you have to change shocks for an acceptable ride...
Anyway, I must say I do like the look of the new lineup, although I personally will not purchase one, for my reasons, but they not too shabby to give me "I like to watch!" I reackon.
"Motorcycle porn" is fucken good shit.

Mitch from Sunstate motorcycles is offering a MY 18 Street bob with under 100k's for $18400 in your name ride away with Qld rego.  He tells me it was bought by an elderly gentleman who found it too heavy.
