Always interesting to see what people consider to be a "Bobber", but each to their own I guess...

‘mate you know why they’re called bobbers right? (Oh yes mr expert, please tell me) It’s cos those springs they had at the front so they’d bob up and down, it’s where the name comes from’

Might be wrong El Skitzo but i presume you are refering to me calling my 99 Springer a Bobber ... absolutly fine with people thinking it is not a Bobber ... as i said when i posted it that some may not agree ... to be honest i would love to hear what people considered to be a Bobber in the Traditional sense ... as an educational exersise .

To be fair when it was going through the build process i considered it to fall into a few catorgories , such as ... Chopper / Bobber / Flat Tracker / Bar Hopper ... and just something that was a bit different and a bit of fun , which it is to ride to be sure ... Funny / sort of Sad thing is that if you have a Gander at what Triumph are calling there new stripped back Bobber there is a definite resembalance .

As mine was built years before there`s i am happy if they want to copy my ideas ... Lol ... on a searious note though would generaly love to hear peoples opinions on what constitutes a Bobber to be .

i always thought a bobber was a bike with a chopped rear fender - providing the bobbed look.    your springer is lovely but to me it is just that, a springer, as the rear fender is not chopped enough.   the triumph above, to me, is not a bobber also. again too much rear fender.  bikes need more than a sprung seat to be a bobber.

each to their own though. end of the day if it’s got two wheels it’s pretty much ok in my book.

Not a Harley ... but a Pommy Bobber.

Nice job on the seat Evilslim.
Did you get an upholsterer to do that to it?.
Wifey has one of those bobbers and they sure go well and are fun to ride, light and easy to handle plus they go like the clappers.
Did not like the seat on it at first, kind of felt like you were sitting on a bucket but you do get use to it. Plus the small tank is restrictive on a longer trip.
    Anyway your bike looks fine.
