Scissor jack for the bikes.

    Hi there Forum ball bag scratchers.
    Went and purchased one of these scissor jacks thingies to raise the machines only a bit when servicing.
     The pro-lift I also have is great for cleaning, detailing and wheel changes blah blah, but it gets in the way when trying to get the oil drain pan under, when changing all the fluids.
    This is the ticket to lift the bike up just enough to do the job.
    I will glue a thin rubber pad on the top to stop any slippage.
    $59 smackers from Wholesale superstore Clyde st Islington if you locals are interested. Heaps on ebay as well.

    Hang on a second. Are you saying a lift which is (should be rated like 6-700kg  min.) is $59.00  ? Which is just over a Pkt a smokes. Got a shitty old lift but canna change oil on it. What brand or name, I'll check out ebay and shit and see if can find it in Victoria, but if you know wackit up thanks. save me fucken round for half a day. thanks FLH.

    Those Lifts need a nice sized hex on the main Screw so you can power it up with your electric drill, 500kg is not quite enough for the big bikes, but I guess you could buy two and use them side by side, cheap enough,

    Be careful of these cheap arsed lifts. I had one in my shop break the steel cross piece where the jack screw goes thru. Luckily the bike was on a lift and tied down at the time.
