    Hi,

I see this on eBay, Australian approved German style helmet, anyone has this? It looks cool.
There are many other sellers selling same but no Aussie approval, as cheap as $20, are they same items?

    Awesome looking!
In reality the blokes that buy this and crash really deserve the protection that this helmet will give their heads!

    Helmet debates are always interesting.
Usually the full face crowd pushing their views on the open face crowd.

Many started with open face helmets and it wasn't long ago you wouldn't be caught dead wearing a full face on anything but a crotch rocket.
Then some began using full face and found they were in some cases quieter, offered better protection from the elements, were potentially safer in the event of an accident, and now a lot cheaper.
When they come online and try to promote the virtues and potential benefits / safety aspects of the full face / flip front helmet to fellow forumites, they are "pushing their views"
    I don't get it.

It is interesting to observe in the land of Harley Davidson (USA), most folk I saw riding them did not bother with helmets at all.
If you wanted to wear one you could, no one was going to fine you for actually wearing one or not.
I think that is a good way to go. Pretty sure it use to be the same here in Australia before helmet laws were invented.
Now it is compulsory to wear a helmet on a pushbike in most places here!, how fucked is that?. Never was when I was a kid.
As for wearing a Nazi style helmet, it really only shows the mind set of the wearer.

I've always worn full face, I've seen what can happen when you don't, apart from that each to their own I have always said.

Looks like a vinyl clad pushbike helmet.

I know of a few lycra wearers who'd love that.

    1. Check the brand and ensure they really are certified and not just wearing a dodgy home-printed sticker.

    2. Ignore the wankers who berate you for choosing whatever the fuck you want to wear on your own head

    3. Ride and be free.
