Has anyone on here done this yet. Very popular in the US and definitely gets great reviews. The biggest expense is the wheel.

I have one of these on the way, not sure I'll use their guard yet or get mine modified. To get their guard sent over would be around $800 USD. Once the wheel arrived and i get a tyre fitted my fabricator will let me know if its cheaper doing mine. Pirelli actually make a dual purpose tyre now to suit front or rear application's.

Mostly for the fat look but every review I've read all reckon the bike is much smoother to ride and handles better. Guess in a while I'll find out. ??

What size wheel is it? What are you getting? I' about to order a 21" normal wheel for my tourer but could be tempted......

It's an 18 x 5.5, the wheel is the most expensive part. I'm going to see if i can get my standard guard widened before i spend $800 USD.

I like the look of them, but would need to ride one first to make sure handling was not compromised by the addition of a fat front end.

the yanks rave about how good the bike handles with the fat front tyre. Pirelli now make a Night Dragon suitable to use on these wheels now.
