Any Ipswich, westerrn suburbs based riders interested in exploring the great south east??

I have a brother in Ipswich who tends to ride thru the week as he works most weekends. 5 of us are riding out to Goondiwindi this weekend. I mainly ride around Tamborine Beechmont and Canungra on Sundays.

I'm in the Switch, haven't quite got my trainer wheels removed, after being off bike for a lot of years I'm taking it steady. Did a quick run up Splityard Creek road (back of Wivenhoe) yesterday to try to understand the bike better, bumpy but fun.

Tried again today... but, well you only have to look out the window...

I'm on the Northside of Brissy,  ride Mt Mee, Melany, Somerset, Esk, Kenilworth areas for day trips when I can. Doesn't seem to be many catch ups with SE qld forum members, should get off our arses and organise some I suppose.

I acknowledge its a big week, Anzac Day [important], then the gig at the RNA on Saturday [Hog Lights Sponsor among others].

Any one wanting to ride this week and Sunday by all means let me know [2 weeks off...lol].

Forecast showers till Saturday....and I still have some round the house jobs...so later in the week is best!

As Pauly says, that's a great ride. If you like the open road and a bit of diversity another good ride from out your way of head to Fernvale, Esk, up to Hampton, then Crows Nest, Cooyar, Yarraman, Blackbutt, Moore then turn right before Kilcoy and head back through Toogoolawah to Esk then to home. You get a bit of everything on that route.

I’m always keen.....got a couple of mates who’d be in too......all of us from Ippy. I know quite a few great backroads that turn into great loops around here too.

Agree Steve L , I should have the front end sorted soon and back on the road, would be keen to meet all the SEQ forum members, lets make it happen.

As a Wesitie I'm fully aware of whats on offer this way as far as rides!...A fantastic place to explore]..perhaps I didnt explain that to begin with?

I have a 2017 Breakout [in the intro section].....just clocked up 16k....and trying to get a service [and rear Tyre this week]....to no avail..in Bris!...thus far!

Like many, my work hours vary...I'm on call..for Day, Evening or Night Shift 24/7 ...7 Days a week...dont find out the next days roster till 4pm in the arvo ...so plannings a curse!

And no I'm not a Copper!

Lol. I care that you’re not a copper.....anyhow, I’m happy to sort a ride in the next few weeks and if it suits join in...all welcome. How I roll is this - provide a general ride rundown, meet at North Ippy Caltex.....and go. If you’re there, we’re on.

Too good a day to waste, home chores in the morning but wouldn't mind a spin up Mt Glorious n around the dam. Short notice but, say, be at North Ipswich Matilda @ 12.30 if interested.

Steve was at the servo (Stevo fxsb) with his Breakout. Top ride up Mount Glorious, no traffic to speak of which is always nice, bit chilly up top but! Finished off with a leisurely jaunt around Wivenhoe Dam, I let the lil pig run out, fun... Steves Breakout was probably just getting into it's stride!

First ride in the twisty stuff on my Sporty... it's well different, something I have to get the hang of. Still fun, but a different king of fun I love being back on a bike and my little Sporty is perfect .........for now ;-)

Great work blokes. Kenilworth had the coppers at it with noise testing too last weekend. Looking forward to joining in one of these rides soon.
