For SA friends and any visitors. Many of you will remember Hawkers Corner, a well known West Tce Adelaide eatery (corner Wright St) featuring cheap and tasty asian cuisine for over 30 years closed late last year for a refit. Most of us feared it would never reopen.
I can advise it's been back open for business for 3 weeks now and I went there for a bite to eat tonight. At this stage, only one asian restaurant, the indian restaurant (with a new chef), and drinks bar are open but for non alcoholic at this stage.
The interior has had a minor revamp. The food was delicious. The prices are a little more than they used to be but the quality is improved and dish sizes seem larger, the cutlery and crockery classier and the staff still friendly and obliging.
I encourage you to give it a go if you are looking for a quick reasonably priced meal. Just to give you an indication of prices, I had barramundi malabar @14.50, basmati rice @3.50 and plain naan bread @2.50.
Perhaps an SA forum members evening would be appropriate.

Most Harley riders I know are happy with a pie and sauce.

I used to eat there regularly (once a week) before it shut down, the quality was on the decline.

If it has improved, I would definatley go back there again.

SA forum get together sounds great. I'm in.
