Can't seem to get good mileage out of these tyres LOL but on a serious note I'm up for my next set of tyres on my FXDWG. What are you guys running and what do you recommend. I had Avons on my last bike and loved them but they didn't last. Also have you blokes fitted wider than stock tyres to your stock rims? Could I fit a 200 to the rear stock rim? Cheers.

My last pair on my WG were the factory Michelin’s, I thrashed them up and down from melb to Sydney, torrential rain, touring, backroad scratching with sportsbike guys, commuting. saw near 16000ks out of them. No complaints and usually ran out of ground clearance long before I felt I was running out of grip.

Had a Avon cobra 190/60R-17 on a 2013 WG and a 90/90-21 on front that made a huge difference but had to slot out front guard mounts a little to rise as it rubbed at higher speeds, easy job and would never had know visually

Do you want grip or longevity - you can only pick one.

I've been happy with grip from Avons but that's getting 15-17k - been through 2 sets Dual 16s on a fat bob

I was happy with longevity from Michellin commanders (38k from a rear) but they were interesting in the wet. - been through 3 sets of 19/17 on a street bob

I’m happy with the Avon’s on my Fat Bob. I’m also happy with 10-15,000 from a set, if achieved. They are designed to wear over their life ... it’s a good thing.

I use Avon Cobra on the front, very sticky and Dunlop on the back, don't really care if i don't get high mileage, they stick like shit on a blanket and the cost of tyres is minuscule compared to the damage to the bike and me if I come a gutsa. Don't skimp.

The mileage you blokes are reporting is unbelievable. I cant get more then 11K out of tyres?? Although 90% of my riding is 2 up - I'm only 85kg and the bride is 60kg so I wouldn't think it would have made that much difference. Good luck to yas. Wish I could get what you are getting. Must be rough roads around my way LOL

Have just installed Bridgestone Battlecruise on my chopper 240/40/18 rear and 100/90/19 front new tyre is susposed to outlast competitors had michelin commander 2 previosly 15000 km but not good wet grip had the bridgestones in rain lately and seem much better on wet roads. They had a promo buy rear and get front at half price ran out at end of march. Ill see how they go...........
