Steve Smith a good batsman but a captain? Can't imagine a Steve Waugh, Mark Taylor or Allan Border letting this happen. It wouldn't.
Lots of others probably doing it but not in such a stupid and obvious way. It can't ever be excused because others are doing it anyway.

Michael Clarke is offering to come out of retirement and be captain if asked. What an arrogant knob. He was probably the worst captain we've seen and wasn't much of a batsman towards the end either.

Back in the days of the underarm incident, Australian cricketers were revered and godlike. I don't reckon they'd get away with it again with their petulance and arrogance.

ok Smith has been banned for a game & lost 100 % match payment & Warner has copped a fine also & both have stood down from their leadership positions. What does Bancroft (the guy that did the actual tampering) cop ?

I reckon Smith is as weak as piss, not only bringing Australia’s sporting rep to it knees but for throwing every cunt under the bus.
A real leader would have just taken the rap for em all..

You blokes reckon this goes on all the time with teams and we prob been doin it for awhile???

Yep ok so they do it all the time... these were just the times they got caught..
Bit like underhanded payments in the NRL salary cap. They all do it, just catch one out occasionally

Agree ceo press conference was embarrassing. He said over and over that they broke cricket laws. Everyone knows it was premeditated and deceitfully done. Dunno why he refused to acknowledge the term cheating as that's simply what it is. He's just another wanker. Whoever gives them media/Pr advice was either ignored or did a shit job

    Hmmm
The penalties far too severe for ball tampering. Been going on for decades by many in all teams. The penalty should fit the crime. And heres what i cannot get my head around. Royal commission into banks. CEO of com bank that recently resigned oversaw fraud and corruption as in signatures forged on retirees funds to invest in high risk funds ect ect. CEO walks scot free. Caused serious harm to many. But steve smith got caught sanctioning a bit of ball manipulation. Yes they should get their arse kicked but to be in effect fined mlions for this is a bit over the top. Millions as all sponsers pulling the plug ect. Need a bit of perspective here i think. Do not remember the deciples of mother teresa above call for Tendulka to give all his awards back and fined millions in endorsments as in paying money back.Sink the boot in but its all good when the head wobblers do it and the poms do it. Even that wog who took a dive that stopped Austalia getting to the soccar world cup semis a few years ago. Not much about that. Fair dinkem, Mother Teresars, not everyone is supercalifragilisticexpealidocious and perfect in every way.
