What may slow you up with stock OEM mufflers mate is this.
Back then , a 'Texas tune" was to knock out the central blanking plug in the muffler
Coupled with a mild carby mod this effectively gave you a "stage 1"
Very very few folks fitted V&H or S&S back then , so few new bike take-off mufflers on the shelf
2001 and onwards , stock exhaust not so easily modifiable , LOADS of them to be found
mate of mine has a 1993 Heritage Nostalgia , same HIGH/LOW system as yours.
He has Khromewerks tapered mufflers on there , look 100% stock OEM ( but louder of course)
His "deflowered" stock OEM mufflers lasted 1993 to 2011 ( rusted/blued) so he went Khromewerks to keep the stock look.
He had to make a hidden bracket ( he is VERY handy that way) but the bike looks like "new"
Yes mate , Khromewerks have the 100% stock look.
No embossing or manufacturers name stamped onto them.
Fools PC Plod they look so "original"
