Yeah, I gather there’s a bit to learn about how to use them, PB. I’ve been wanting to get one for ages now. My girlfriend has one and I quickly learned that she don’t wanna chat when it’s up in the air.

Dont be scared to try one. Push the auto take off button and it hovers 1m or so directly in front of you. GPS keeps it on the spot. Push a joystick away from you and it  simply flys away from you. The second you release the stick it just stops and hovers. Pull the stick towards you and it returns.

Have to agree, the drone footage very pro!!
I was up Snowy mountains few weeks back for a few day's.. was visiting a forrest with some friends. the pine tree's were really high. a guy had a drone in there it was not that big. he had a controller with a screen it was showing the footage the drone was fillming. then the drone disappeared from view. even the guy could not find it then we spotted it very high up over the road. he could not seem to get control of it, but he said it homes & returns home. I did not get to find out how long the battery can power it for before needing a recharge.
would be tricky keeping eye on road and traffic and a drone too.

The battery on mine allows it to fly around 12-14 min at a time. Top speed is nearly 60 kph but wont fly for 12 min on max power obviously.  The "Follow me" function on the drone allows you focus on riding or walking and the drone will follow you automatically at a height you select, easy tech

Hehehe. Yeah, I think I could probably manage that, PB. I’m sure things get much more complicated after the first step though. When I was looking into them, I watched a few YouTube videos of people who’d programmed the home function wrong. They hit home and away into the wild blue yonder went the drone ;-)

Nothing is totally "Fool Proof" and with the modern drones only a fool would see it disappear to your LAST home gps point

Really enjoyed that PB. Thanks for posting. Did notice those same campers who caused shit to go down in another episode, made it this far as well.

    Part 4

Another thoroughly enjoyable episode. And yeah, it’d be a hell of a lot of work to edit together. I’d say it’d be a long time between putting together the first instalment and the fourth. Easy to forget what you used already.

I have a DJI Spark and that has the follow me function. They are very clever and have collision avoidance and return to home functions. I have had mine  3klm away from me and return by its self

Hey PB. I got this drone off Ebay cheap. I need some instruction on how to get it to fly. :-(
