Whoops, I was wrong, The Loveless was released for a short run in Oz in 1984. I was busy in the hills then trying to be a hippie peasant farmer, running around on a junk Norton or Yam 650 and sidecar if my daughter was along for the ride. No TV, didn't know about it, never saw it then.
It's got some great Hydra-Glides, and cars, lovingly recreated 50's decor.

Yeah, was going past it daily for work since 86, back before it looked like this, rundown and being held up by 4×2s propping up the walls inside. The Obi road was nearly all dirt then, and the current down road was the only one, 2 ways.
Nice Velocette in this one. That's me as the janitor at the end.

Enjoyed that one Obi, reminds of sugar country, sugar mill timbered music studio.

Nambour, the town just 20 km away over the range from Obi Obi had a sugar mill until 2003. Obi was dairy country, now just 2 dairies, some beef, some beef studs, and lots of rural residential. The old 60s and 70s hippies mostly gone but some still hanging in. I love the road in the clip, only about 10 km long, a real locals only road, but very pretty country.
Did any one recognise the pump jockey?

Not really, he's about 6 inches taller.  Kevin Borich agreed to put in a cameo appearance.  Kelly Cork, the lead singer used to run a business mostly keeping old British bikes running better than new in Maleny.
