This is my other bike, had it since '05, a BMW R100RS JPS.  Was my regular bike for many years, about 11 I think.  For about 5 of those 11 was my day to day going to work transport.  Now a club plate special.  A really great bike.

A V11?  Very nice.  I would own a Guzzi no anyday.

I wondered about the fairing, similar to a V11 Le Mans job but was not sure.  Nice looking bike.

I think around 35K bought it with 20K on it.

It was a 92 851 new shape like the 888.
Bought the tail piece and had it painted up like the factory 888 of the days.
    Added the Staintunes.
Great handling bike and turned heads.
Snapped a belt on it at the Singlton end of the Putty road in the winter one time, that was a shit day stuck on the side of the road for around 9 hours waiting for the transport guy to pick me up, he ws coming from Campbelltown.

    Good Stuff!

This guy I meet that was riding one had owned it from new.
that would be a bad day breaking the cam timing belt!

Sure was cold when it got dark.

Was riding a mate (3 corners Stewie) he was on a 998R we both pulled out from behind a semi to rip past and my belt went, 3 corners never noticed as he was gone!
He got to the 15 mins up the road before he noticed I was not coming, came all the way back worked out what was wrong then road all the way to the road house to call the transport dude then road all the way back to me.
    No GSM on Putty Road.
We waited and waited about 5 hours then 3 corners rode back to the road house to see where the dude was, his mrs said he went out there and didn't find us and he was heading home to Campbelltown, he was at Windsor, she rang him and told him we where still waiting.
He finally got there an picked me up at around 8.PM Bike broke down at around 10 AM.
    It was a shitful day.
On a side note 3 corners Stewie got his name because he was an A grade road racer and when we use to ride up the old road I could on see him for the first 3 corners then he was gone, I would meet him at Road Warriors Servo.

    Good Story!
would have been a bad day!
I went for a ride with the guy that has the 851, he was telling me it was a Factory replica Super Bike & came with the 888 motor, he showed me it had a plate, to confirm what it was. nice bike!

Nice one crowster, how long since its been ridden?

Things to check replace as I'm sure you know:

Head studs (original?), belts, check round head stock for cracks as well as swingarm.

    Great bikes!

    Lucky bugger.
Mine was one of those bikes I wish I still had.
    A ‘76 r100rs 40 mm bings and lumpier cams.
All it wanted to do was cruise at 140.

Well, I bought the BM Rninet Racer in May, with restrictions lifted I finally got it out and about, 30 mins was the longest I could last, pain would start in my wrists, then numbness then it would spread up my forearms. I’d pull over and spent the next 10 mins with tingling hands. Beautiful bike but just not useable for me. Sold several days after I advertised it.

I’ve never looked at triumphs before, had no interest, was at Harley city (none of the new harleys interested me) and wandered into triumph next door and instantly fell in love with a 1200 scrambler, took it for a ride and goddamn, punchy as fck motor, handling was light, brakes were amazing and it had a really nice old school vibe to the motor. Just really well built. Comes home with me this weekend.

Mrs Far Canal has a 1200 Bobber.
It is a very nice bike.
Fast, nimble, low to ground stops well, needs minimum maintenance.
I remember you bagged them out about the fake carbies and something else Mow a few years ago when she got it but they are a great machine straight out of the box. No need to spend an extra fortune on them to get them breathing, exhausting, and tuned.
    Good luck with your Scrambler.

Hey man, looked and bid on one of those mothers as like the history, and well look. But a simple one without all the E jazz sounds the go.
Me I just got some stinking Jap/Wog Belgarda TT600 kicker only, I know . But My idea is if can't organise for easy kick in guts use by time gone. Tough must be tuned to an inch of her life....
