Hey guys hoping to get some advice regarding the install of a second-hand seat I have recently bought off gumtree.
The seat is a Corbin Hollywood solo saddle and pillion pad. Unbeknown to me until later is that as they are lockable they attach differently
to a standard Harley seat.I have a 07 spec Fatboy. Corbin does a seat for 2007 up(HD-ST-6-S) and another for 2010(HD-ST-10-S) and up. I asked questions but obviously not enough but to cut a long story short I ended up buying a 2010 model seat. The difference is that the 07 model has a bracket that fixes to the oil tank and the 10 model bracket fixes to the frame just in front of the negative terminals. Is there any major difference in the different year frames? and do the 2010 later frames have 2 pre-drilled holes in that location as the install guide mention no drilling for fitment? To retrofit this seat would mean drilling into the frame and tapping to suit the 2 screws holding the forward bracket, which I am hesitant to do without further advise. Here is a photo of the seat on the bike and another of the frame with the bracket in the intended position, one of the underside of the seat and one of the installation guide. Would be interested to hear anyone thoughts or experiences with these seats.
    Cheers
    Tommo

I have a similar ish setup on my Corbin for my XR1200X (not a Fatboy sorry). Works well on the XR - had to do a bit of filing on the rear mount to make it a bit easier but other than that is is quite good
