     SOLD    $1600.   SOLD
Heads modified by Darren @ RAMS in Sydney for low end torque.
AV & V extreme duty springs with Ti retainers and  collars,  and AV & V exhaust valves. Ported and flowed.

The work and parts cost $1500. This does not include the cost of the MVA cylinder heads. Invoice available for work by RAMS, AV&V spring purchase and ACRs.
    Replacement value is approximately $3500.
These were new MVA heads when modified. ACRs fitted and included. Not suitable for anything less than a 110ci engine.

Done 8,000ks (4k with Murph83 and 4k with me) and in bolt on condition. They livened up a 117 and improved the low end and mid range response considerably compared to stock MVA heads which are a marked improvement on the already good Screamin' Eagle heads fitted to 110 engines. These things rock.

Removed from bike when sold. The price is firm @ $1600. Perfectly packed and ready to post.
Will post at your cost. SOLD  SOLD

have you checked how far piston comes up in the bore?

What Hilly said with regard to compression. Claying would take care of any concern once pistons and cam are selected. Beauty of it can be buying high comp pistons, then taming it down or gaining clearance with different head gaskets.
Reasonably certain Cometic supply a 0.026" head gasket to give a little more squeeze over the usually preferred 0.030" head gasket.
Each engine varies with regard to how far the piston is down the hole, that's what an engine builder takes care of.
Calculate first, accurately, making sure it fills your goals.

Suburban Motors HD supply higher comp pistons for the 117 kit. They would work well, being Mahle, same as the originals in the 117 kit.
THEN you could have a CR595 (10.5:1) in the "golden range" for performance....and the GMR600 (10.8:1 best) for that matter.

RMAC, Fatbat wasn't the only "I'll take 'em" after the bell. Never rains when it pours.

Thanks Hilly, thanks Murp83. Two good blokes who help.

Whatever you do, please don't strangle those heads with the CR575 .
The MVA heads are really designed to flow some air, and likely more when modified.
They are ideally suited to a high HP build.
I would love to see a sheet from Fatslim or Murph using these heads.
I didn't see what chamber volume they have ?

Might be a good idea to move this or start a new thread in the Workshp .

Lots of cams will be a better match than the cr575. Have a look at tman cams. The tman 625 at 10.5 or maybe a bit less is something to consider if you want lots of torque down low that'll carry out well. Or the S&s 635ho might be worth a look. So many cams will work well giving you lots of torque down low and in midrange  with 117 cubes, good heads and comp around 10.5:1. Pretty much every cam manufacturer and brand will have a suitable cam. The screamin eagle 259e cam that comes with the 117 kit should also work well around 10.5 comp.
