Willie Mason .....not exactly a pillar of credibility. Played 24 games for cows in 2010 under Neil Henry, called the biggest  flop by Toulon fans as  in the club’s history and lasted 3 games before bursting into tears and being released. I don't believe a single word from his mouth. How do people honestly believe that the players are playing for the coach.....they are playing for the passion the pride and more importantly their own enjoyment of the game. Undoubtedly something has gone very wrong this season , but come on listing to Willie Mason. ...really?

Does anyone else think st merge can beat the Mexicans tonight?
Before you answer check team lists without thier origin stars.
Depending on you guys I might go the upset...

obviously I’ll pick the opposite of whatever you guys think to get my tip right. Especially JFE ;-)

    PB,
I’m all ears for rumours about the Cows as I haven’t heard anything else more credible to explain their embarrassing form. It’s been an inconsistent joke most of the season; I’m still pissed-off about the mentality of a team that can beat the Panthers in Bathurst and then getting shit-faced while in camp (resulting in a senior player on assault charges). It’s 2018, that crap shouldn’t be on, particularly for a team in the doldrums.

I think Mason has a point about the Cows doing the same thing with plays etc. He is right there; it’s like the rest of the NRL caught up and with JT being just that little bit older, it hasn’t worked out. And the clash has done bugger all to change things up, even when greats like Meninga have free advice about putting Morgan in the 7 jersey. I also reckon Green has shown too much loyalty to non-performers in his team for the last three seasons. Coaches (or any boss really) shouldn’t be drinking much with the help either, imo.

So all up, I wouldn’t be too quick to dismiss him. When Mason played for the Cows, to his credit, he kept his nose clean and put in the effort imo.

Thanks for posting Hilly. With their performance this year, I’d like to see 1/2 the squad wandering around Townsville apologising for their performance (not big or small JT, Feldt or Hampton), and the club refunding memberships.

...so no one will shout DCE a beer in the Gold Coast, it seems. He is in the team now — give him a chance. Not like Qld is overflowing with credible options.

Hey if any of the story is true then i agree with the coach not going out boozing with the players, there should be a line between players and coach.  As a life member of the Sharks if i got them to wander the shire saying sorry for years of poor performance there would be no time for footy! Sadly i don't share your view that Mason has any credibility at all.

    Fuck that’s harsh...
I only playin JFE, you know I love the friendly rivalry ol mate.

Yep I agree, definitely something going on at the cows, a roster they have playing the way they are, not rocket science to know something going on behind the scenes

All good Chriso. The banter on here, right or wrong, is more of a NRL-related highlight for me than the Cows or Qld.

I changed back to storm fellas, I like the dragons halves and backline better but without de Belen , Vaughn and sims, I don’t think they will have the go forward for them to move. Could be wrong, I think it will be a good game though

A lot of defensive errors by both sides, I guess ya get that with the amount of inexperience on the field
