G'day all just starting a post to see what the most comfortable Harley you have owned. Ok this not about the fastest, best braked, best handling Harley, it's about just heading out on the road on the bike you enjoy the most but if the above does apply let us know. Also can we not make this a debate about Evo v Twin Cam v M8  they are all great bikes. The most comfortable Harley I owned (and still own it) is my first Softail a 1993 Heritage. I have owned a lot of Harley's, Sportster's, FXR, 77 Shovel, 2001 Dyna Super Glide, even a WLA, but the Heritage is the most comfortable of all of them and if I was ever to update another Heritage would be on top of my list cheers.

Hang on a second. Let me work this back. You mean just for example I could be more comfortable long distance in something like a LWB Mercedes as opposed to one of those little compacts they sell? Wow!

This will be an interesting thread, I expect the granny glides will be well represented. And as a bloke closer to fifty than forty, I am very interested, am thinking about getting a bagger to add to the stable in the near future.

2010 Street Glide with ElectraGlide seat, stock front end and Penske rear shox. Never adjusted bars or moved a thing on that bike since new.

Still going strong and more comfy now than ever, with 90k on the clock

As a lot of you know, I have had about 30 new Harleys, and my current 2017 M8 RoadKing would have to be the best of the ones I have had as far as long distance comfort is concerned. Not the most comfortable bike I have ever owned, but clearly the most comfortable Harley.

Tigger wins hands down. For those that don't know Tigger he is a custom 2012 ultra stage 4 with progressive front end. Comfort, power, looks, he has it all!

Had a couple of Softails (including current ride), an XR (also a current ride) and a couple of Tourers - Street Glide was the best by far

Best faired bike is my current 13 Street Glide,  but only after spending lots on suspension and seats. Best naked HD was my old Dyna. It was first of the twin cam models and it had a Mustang vintage seat. I rode it from the Gold Coast down to the Oxley and back over 3 days.

Haha no not Brisbanes Oxley, we went down to Walcha and rode the Oxley over to Port Macqaurie then back. Not sure about how many k's but it took most of the day to get there, then the following day we did the Oxley then the last day we rode home. That old Mustang seat was by far the best most comfortable seat I've ever had. I'v spent a fortune on seats over the years and that old Mustang I picked up 2nd hand for  $75 haha.

I've only owned 3 Harleys over the past 35+ years. They were all comfortable for their time. The '81 FXB Sturgis with DJP sidecar was daily and family holiday transport. We went to many rallys in the eastern states. Travel was at a sedate pace but could do a good 5-600kms in a day. Had a sheepskin seat cover to subdue some of the vibration and road bumps!
Then came the 'Couch'. A 2005 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. In 10 years travelled 150,000kms up and down the East Coast and over to SA. Longest single trip was Broken Hill to Brisbane - just over 1500kms in 17 hours! She was a very comfortable bike with cruise control, music and the Batwing fairing.

2016 came my current ride, 'Goldie', the Road Glide Special. A few extra's like lowers, upgraded coms, including CB. 2 years and 55,000kms. Been to all states/territories including one 'around-the-block' and a trip up the middle. A great open road tourer. Easy 800+km in a day. And the fixed 'Shark' fairing is the best! Wouldn't got back to the Batwing.
