    Gents,

last year ol' mate threw some standard height Progressives in the rear of his '15 Street Bob.

I picked up his old standard rear suspension and threw in the '03 Superglide which made a helluva improvement over my shagged out original suspension. I have Progressives in the front aswell with heavy oil.

Now ol' mate reckons the Bob's too stiff in the back end and would rather the original gear back. I'm happy to give the old stuff back but I'm not putting my original gear back in the Superglide. It's knackered.

I usually ride solo, weigh about 85kg and prefer a slightly stiffer setup.

Is it worth me buying the Progressive rears off him (cheap) and fitting to the Superglide or do you think it will stiffen it too much?

    Your thoughts appreciated.

    Cheers, Roo.

Yeah I've ridden it, I don't have a problem at all, infact I like it. Firm but not uncomfortable.
He reckons even 2up it's too rigid. I work with a bloke with the identical bike & suspension setup who says the same. It's the pillions who notice the change rather than the rider, maybe because they're sitting directly over the rear suspension.
