Speedo relocation + Vance & Hines pipes NSW law

Hi everyone, I recently sold my Bonneville and went to the dark side buying a Nightster, I love the bike but I need to make it my own.
The seller had a spare side bracket for the speedo, I was about to install it but I wondered what's the legality in NSW? Can you actually lose points? I also want some Hbars and I would definitly need to relocate the speedo for that.
I also have a spare set of Vance and Hines shorts shots, the previous owner told me they were too loud so I assume illegal but would they be legal with the optional baffles sold by V&H?
Cheers, Oli

Nsw motorcycle modification guidelines

Think twice about the short shots, make enemies with your neighbours and lose horsepower at the same time.
No rules regarding Speedo placement that I am aware of.
That been said catch the wrong cop on the wrong day and he could defect you for wearing shoes let alone a speedo relocation.

Hey Burt like brash said the pipes are definately illegal but most of us run illegal pipes too. Just get the roadworthy or whatever with the stock units and then swap em out. Keep the stock pipes just in case. The short shots sound wicked imo but brash was also right with his other comments. Welcome to the best bikes on the planet too man.......

Thanks guys. I decised not to install the the pipes. There are so much police around where I live (sydney) I can't be bothered. Shame because I love the look and the throaty sound I've heard online. I might try to make some baffles myself at some stage.
