US import, vintage question

    I know the US import thing has been covered a fair bit, but this is a little more specific.
    I was offered a beautiful 74 shovel hardtail for a great price, it has all papers but.. the frame is aftermarket and the papers list it as a ‘special construction’ vehicle.

    Something in the back of my mind is trying to recall if that’s a problem here getting it registered?
