Slippery when wet!

Good afternoon, I was out on my streetbob the other day and have noticed my rear tire doesn’t do wet cornering well.. I’m thinking my tires are shit or the roads are either way I don’t want to be sliding sideways though a round about in the wet. Anyone else not rate the stock HD bike shoes?

I’m always on tenterhooks every time I ride in the wet. No matter what bike or tyre. I cut my riding cloth according to the weather and road conditions.

There's a thread up in Sportsters section with whole bunch of posts about how slippery and dangerous the stock Michelin Scorchers are. Not sure if they give you the same shoes for your model bike.

Is it time Harley had Traction control?
Read a review of one of the 2018 M8 softails recently and the reviewer noted it was very slippery in the wet and needed Traction control.
See you NT

Can’t wait to get these bad boys on the Fatbob!
The bald rear Dunlop on now gets sideways at the slightest touch of the throttle with a little moisture on the road.

srd0060 I never trust the tyres 100% when it's been raining or is raining. but normally hard compound h rated don't grip as well in wet but last longer. also I note your in Canberra I noticed it's been very dry there so if you get rain after a dry spell, there will be dust on the road as well as water makes road surface even slipperier than normal. also oil on road or some diesel spill & no tyre will grip.

When it rains after a long dry spell the accumulation of oil floats on top of the water making traction very suspect. This is especially true at intersections where cars sit dripping small amounts of oil per car, which mount up over time and where motorcyclists are accelerating and braking.
We used to teach students to avoid the centre of the lane and ride where the car tyres go particularly when wet after a dry spell.

Put a night dragon on my jap cruiser and it felt good, softer compound but the starting depth of tread was deeper than the original tyre was new and thought that might compensate a bit for the faster wear. Can't be sure since I traded the bike for the blackline.

I was told Pilot Road 4 are the best alrounder, and best wet weather.
