Looking to go for a ride October 2018 anti-clockwise (starting around Sydney) alternative is March 2019 going clockwise with a rough time of 6-8 weeks. I ride a 99 Dyna wide-glide. If there is anyone who fancies joining me for the whole thing or part of it I'd be pleased to hear from you.

I'm been told it's easier to ride clockwise, when I rode east to west across Nullarbor I had serve head winds and was told it's normal. When I rode north WA into NT in April or May everybody said best time of year, because floodwater had subsided and it was a cool 30+ every day. I believe October is the start of the hot months and March some of the roads might be under water. I would be asking those who know better than me. I would ride with you for a couple days from Victoria.

I was always told it's easier to turn towards your dominant hand.  So right handed people like to turn right and left handed freaks enjoy the kinky shit of left hand turns.

Now bonk has some good advice.
Have hitchhiked, driven and ridden many times, bused and trained, (don"t ask me about my marked cards playing pontoon...) "cross the Nulla, and tail wind is the best coming from West to East though.
Member wind is/weather and comes from the  beautifull West, which they send on to us lowley Easterners...
