what year ? we both have evos...mine stay in forever. Springersues bike has had a timer or mercury switch fitted at some stage so it cancells.
you can now buy fully adjustable timer relays on ebay from asia for a few bucks

A fixed timer won't take into account your speed - you need earlier flashing activation with an accompanying longer duration flashing when travelling at 120km/h than you do travelling at 20km/h.
My '96 WG has a turn signal canceller, do you not have this? If you have a workshop manual it will mention what your bike has.
Mine cancels depending upon initial speed when activated then cancels dependant on distance (both from a speedo output), the faster the speed - the longer distance (duration) of flashing.
    From my workshop manual below:

Fair enough, I wasn't sure what year the 'canceller' was fitted - my manual mentions '95 as well.

Thanks guys, so I need to check my flasher unit/replace ?
to get a longer flash sequence,
I would probably prefer one that doesn't cancel at all (do it manually)
