Hey guys who use to go or still does to motorcycle rallies. This new year I like to get back into going to the rallies been a long time since I went to one. So I thought it might be an idea to list a few of your favourite rallies. Imbil rally is my best one held on the 3rd weekend of November every year at the township of Imbil in Qld great rally. Another one is Conondale rally put on by the Kawasaki Z Owners club of Queensland in March 2018 the dates are 16th 17th 18th at Conondale Qld. Ok guys if you got a couple rallies you like to attend let us know cheers.

When I was younger I used to go to rallies 2 and sometimes 3 times a month, these days it's more like every 2 to 3 months but I still get 4 or 5 a year in.
Some of my favourite rallies are (in no particular order) -

    Date TBC August 2018
Golden Dragon Rally at Tarnagulla in Central Victoria run at the Tarnagulla Recreation Reserve run by Ulysses Central Victoria.  Nice out of the way location with a small but bike friendly pub for a meal in easy walking distance for Saturday night dinner (plenty of outdoor eating space).  At the rally site there is an undercover bar and a band later on Saturday night, some basic food is sold at the rally (dim sims, egg and bacon rolls).  About 250 attended last time.

    Date TBC Late April 2018
Autumn Leaf Rally about 40 Kms from Tumut run by the Tumut Valley Riders at Tummorama Memorial Hall in NSW.  Firewood provided (it gets cold at night) and there is food sold on Saturday night with a band (Friday night BYO food).  One of the few remaining motorbike rallies with a proper motorbike gymkhana event and there is a HUGE bonfire on the Saturday night and the location is in the middle of nowhere so you can be as loud as you like as late as you like.  This is a full on party rally.

    Date TBC early November 2018
Fish Holes Rally is held near Portland Victoria run at a just about perfect site owned by South West Tourers which has their own building with bar, food shop and eating area plus 2 sets of permanent toilets. Last time about 350 people attended (and I reckon at least 50% were on Harleys). Live Band on Saturday night (good one too).

    Date TBC Late November 2018
SR500 Rally is held at Bethanga Recreation Reserve, a smaller rally but the local cricket club put on a cooked dinner with desert on Friday and Saturday night in the clubrooms for $15 and you can get a proper English style cooked breakfast for $10 in the mornings.  There is a band on Saturday night.  This is a smaller rally (128 attending last time) but it makes up for it with the assortment of rare and unusual bikes that attend this rally plus there is the always interesting assortment of SR500 customized bikes that are on display.  Awards for various 'best bike' types with trophies.

    Long Weekend in June 2018
And I have to mention the Alpine Rally, running since 1969 this 'back to basics' rally (bring your own food and alcohol, wood proviced) if you can handle the cold, held at Brindebella in the Snowy Mountains in the middle of winter.  If you go to this one take a good quality tent, a very warm sleeping bag and plenty of warm clothes.  Worth it just to say you did it.

    19-21 January 2018
Confusion Rally at Licola, run by Eastern Suburbs Riders.  I will be at this years Confusion along with some mates but I haven't been for years so I'll just upload the rally flyer.

    * NB I will gradually add rallies to the ride calendar as I get dates.
