SE 110 bolt on kit for 96ci

Hey all
What do you guys make of the SE 110 bolt on kit?
Was looking at doing the upgrade on 13 street bob, currently a stage 1 96.
I got quoted $4155 for the kit with 255 cams.
Is it worth the cash?

Gotta agree with Pauly and depends on your riding style. I’m an old fart on a CVO 110 Fatbob. Same 255 cam and find the fun’s over by 4500 rpm and the CVO has other standard goodies to hold it all together, auto compression release etc.
I reckon the 96 is a great engine and if you must, 4 grand would be better spent on cams/headwork/pistons/oilpump etc.
I just don’t see a Street Bob as a bottom end tourque slugger which is the 110/255’s strength.
Me thinks pistons and a 211 cam (amongst others) would bring it to life for less $$$$$.

As far as I'm aware the 110 tyre shredder kit by screamin eagle is not the same as the CVO 110 top end. The kit has pistons that'll set your compression at 10.2. Definitely not suited to 255 cams and neither is a light dyna.
If you buy the complete kit with cams you get their 259e cams among a heap of other parts. It'd work well in a street bob.
As for the cost, that's an individual decision.

ok sounds like that can have the flick.
Im actually liking the sound of the stage 3 103 kit with 259e cams, also has 10.5:1 comp.Parts are $2100 and yet to be confirmed but labour was around $1450.
Figures show around hp up from 65 to high 90s and tq high 70s to almost 110.
Sounds not bad to me,opinions or experiences welcome.
cheers

If a stage 3 build tickles your fancy, forget the Se stuff. Find a good Indy shop which builds engines. Talk to them. You should get something better and cheaper than Se stuff and you won't be stuck with the Se kit which is inflexible. A Indy shop may recommend getting your cylinders bored out to 107 ci, help you choose pistons and cams, put it together and tune it.
