After reading a few threads on the low rider S's, I was wondering what people who have them think of them now that they have had em for a while?.
    Good points, bad points etc.
Any opinions by those who own one really.

Even though I am 6'3" tall, I fitted the bike quite well. I loved the way it handled and the 110 motor suited it well.

The only problem with it, was that the new 114 FatBob is so much better in the engine/handling package.

The LowRider S is still a much better looking ride, but looks alone don't cut it when you are a corner junky.

    I absolutely love mine.

Just a word of warning, the 110 has a few quibbles, the big one been lifter life. 10 minutes reading on the cvo forums will show how much of an issue it is, even my dealer recommended swapping them at 20k km's.

I didn't get so lucky, at 5000km's front cyl inlet lifter shit itself, luckily got it before it lunched bearings through the cam chest.

Since mine did this, my 2 other mates have had the same issue, one has <1000km's and the other approx 10k. Pretty bloody terrible if you ask me. But we ride these things like we stole them. Dealer knows this and have all been sorted under warranty no questions asked with quick turn around.

Besides that, excellent bikes, the Premium suspension is actually pretty good (I've upgraded to ohlins HD215's) the brakes are adequate for spirited riding. Good riding position. Bars need to be taller but that's personal preference.

I'm very happy with mine, I did a review of the fatbob and since then have ridden the streetbob and Lowrider in the 2018's and I'd choose the LRS over all of them, I just can gel with the look of the fatbob.

You can read the fatbob review here.

For the most part the wife loves hers. She says it's one of the best bikes she's ridden and I'd agree with it being a very good package.
She had her front lifter die about 1400klms ago, new motor from HD. Well motor and 117 kit, but it was all done under warranty. I'm pretty sure it was actually crank runout tho rather than lifter failure.

Other than that, it's been good all round.

yeah my rear tyre is ratshit.

Will do the usual shinko 777's and replace every 3-5k km's, they grip by far the best but don't last for shit. Plus dirt cheap when ebay has deals on. Usually buy 2-3 at a time.

I have the Lucky Daves seat, very supportive and comfy.

Since my post above, have muched a second set of lifters at around 9000km's.

Warranty is up in February for me so I'm going to fix the issues.

I will note the bike gets an absolute caning. I dare say that's a huge part of the premature wear.

The lifter problem and talk of excessive runout being pretty common was enough to put me off them.
Rather than spend 25k on a LRS I decided on 15K for a fatbob so I can put my extra $$  into motor, suspension, brakes etc

I'm ok with the fatty not being as trendy as the LRS added bonus I get a bigger tank too and can tailor it to me.
