quick & fast but no where to drive it in Australia vic I think 100k speed limit now old 110 nt 140 wa? tassie 110 sa? plus after the 1,000k ( at what speed as the more you give it the quicker the battery drains ) how long to recharge and how many charges till battery needs to be replaced? I would think 700 charges? then whats the new battery cost? but a nitro Harley quicker in quarter and motor don't last long. but would have more fun with the nitro Harley ( if you could ride one!! )

CEO Elon Musk said the semi is capable of travelling 804 kilometres on an electric charge — even with a full 36,000kg load — and will cost less than a diesel semi considering fuel savings, lower maintenance and other factors. Musk said customers can put down a $5,000 deposit for the semi now and production will begin in 2019.
Makes ya wonder whats going to be on the market in 20 years time.

If you like a rollicking good bit of Aussie fiction then have a read of The Tesla Legacy by the late Rob G Barrett. A cracking read set in the NSW Hunter region with the plot partly ensconced in Nikola Tesla’s previously mentioned non-petrol car.
