    Hi all,

I have a 2009 Roadking, has anyone come across the issue of the driving lights, from new they come on only when the lights are on low beam.  Apparently this is the way from factory but in Aus. this seems to be illegal as they must only come on with high beam.  The lighting system works best at night with driving lights off when on high beam.  I know I can alter the wiring some how but I would rather keep them legally the way they are.  I have heard that if the wattage is low enough they are not classed as driving lights here but daytime running lights.

You have me a little confused ....
So right now , on your bike, the driving/auxiliary lights can only be activated to ON with high beam , is that right ??
What would you like ?? ... The driving/auxiliary lights to be activated , (if you want), on Low beam only, (ie daytime riding)....

Or, have the ability to have driving/auxiliary lights activated on both  Low, and  High beam , (ie, day and night riding) ??

With regard stock auxiliary lights ON during the day..  I have had a number of touring bikes with auxiliary lights rewired for both Low and High beam activation... Never once , (and I've done some km around this big country), have I been spoken to by Mr Plod for  having the auxiliary lights on during the day .....Does that  make it legal in all states, etc  , fucked if I know.....

PS ,,, To change the auxiliary lights , (for both Low and High beam), on the later models, you have to go to dealer for it to be done via their computer.... Some advanced tuners also have the ability to do it also.....

Mine only worked whilst I was on low beam, and went off on high. 08 FLHT. I bought an accessory wiring package for around $30 or so which allowed me to run them whilst on high beam.
