I was hunting a stock frame for a late model twinky a few years back, it was a nightmare.
So my question is, will it be as hard to get a softy frame for a late model evo?
One would think it would be easier as more of em off the road and parts laying in sheds I figure.
Anyhows what’s ya thoughts and does anyone know of one anywhere?
Edit- also what sorta dosh would ya expect to pay?

Good luck with that  thay do come up every now and then one with good numbers and straight go for up to $3000
You can’t get them new any more  from harley  even if you have the the old kneck with numbers  I had a frantic call
From  harley haven  once  as I had ordered and paid for a frame as thay said thay could get one out of the USA  but
A week later harley Aus said nope  you can’t have it I’ve been down that track a few years ago   Easiest thing to do is buy a
Krafttech std frame  around the $1200 to $1400 new depending where from  but than you have to do the whole
Rego thing to be legit  and that’s different from state to state     The frames are pretty much the same
From 87 up just few things slightly different which you can get around  oil filter mount to the frame on earlier ones
And frame has brackets welded behind the neck to hold The wiring plugs  but you can buy them too from kraft tech
Also neck bearing cups need to be fitted When I order one of my frames 5 years ago it was cheaper to get it from mcs  over there to my door than anyone else By a few hundred good luck
