Anyone put front rider pegs on a newish 2014 Sportster XL1200C? Just bought some from USA and no-go!

Has anyone had any luck replacing the front pegs on a late model Sporty XL1200C? I just picked up some Avon Contour style from USA with matching grips and shifter peg and the f#cking things don't fit...now going back to the supplier online support if I had have read the fine-print fitment note, they only suit the rear pegs!!! Looks like the mount has changed in the last few years. The pin doesn't line up as one side of the C-mount is longer than the other...

Yes, it's quite a stupid change they've made with the offset clevis mount.  Most pegs out there will not fit.  There is an easy fix if you're comfortable using an angle grinder.  I had to do it myself to fit my mini foot boards.  See my post about it here:

Once you've done this mod you can fit any foot pegs out there.

Kingchops your a Champion! You've got me gee'd up, I might give that a try over the weekend, did you use a cutting blade on the grinder to get the bulk of the meat off then use a fat style wheel to neaten it up?

Job done, took about 45mins of grinding pedal remove/clean/regrease/replace, the other 2hrs was waiting for the paint to dry...good idea on the clear coat KC, thanks.

Nice job, glad you got it done.  Now you've done the mod, most pegs on the market both new and old will fit.

Cheers Cropduster, the rears have arrived and are a perfect match to look at, exactly the same as fronts.

Unfortunately Avon don't make any front pegs to suit the 48's and my vintage XL1200C, I didn't read the fine-print (and it was small) of bikes they fit. I contacted Avon support & they are looking at manufacturing them to suit my model bike but it will take longer than I could wait.
Kingchops had already done what I was considering doing, (thanks KC for your link btw) its a pretty quick fix, a little annoying but hey it turned out sweet in the end so I'm happy.
