Hi trying to use the search button but not much luck with it. Where's the best place to get stainless steel spokes from? Apparently Buchanan's don't make for 48's (need to double check on that) I also called a business in QLD called http://asw.com.au they make a set for my bike at $260 each wheel which is quite expensive in my opinion but my spokes are chocking.
If I'm spending that much money I want the best of the best.

    Any advice appreciated.

Hey FHF, I've used http://asw.com.au before, and I was of the same mind you are, they were quite expensive....
However by the time I added everything up freight, money conversion rate etc. it was a matter of approx $30 dearer to go with the local guy, I thought it was going to be cheaper for any returns (if wrong parts arrived or issues arise) to go local.
As it turns out he had good advice, I purchased stainless butted spokes and nickle plated nipples for my 21" wheel on my old 2007 Honda VT750C2 and laced it myself using youtube, got a local guy to true the wheel job done.
If I had any advice if your attempting to lace the wheel yourself, use a little grease on each nipple for the guy truing it, it saves them alot of time on a difficult wheel to true like mine was.

Stainless are definitely the go mate, I have them and wouldn’t ever go back to chrome. Check eBay too if you know all the specs you need to know

    Yes, you can.
In the link I posted , there is an interesting video how he builds his spokes.

End up going with ASW in QLD. Wheels need lots of scrubbing and cleaning and maybe some coats of antitrust stuff I need to look into it. Hubs aluminium all corroded planning to Plasti dip them.
Thanks for the recommendation guys unfortunately no much time to work on this bike big job for me getting help from local shop :)
