Facebook share button now available in topics

    You can now easily share forum topics on Facebook. I've added a share button at the top and bottom of each thread page. Using the share button will post the text and/or images from the first post in any topic to Facebook with a link back to the forum.  The share button is only available in publicly accessible forums.

    Some may have noticed that the hosted Facebook share button I put in yesterday was really slow to load.  I've replaced it with a version that loads instantly.

    I've never been a fan of facebook.  But if sites like this one are to survive they need to integrate with social media.  That's just the hard reality.

    Facebook is full of crap but is one way to keep up with what family is up to, at my age I have heaps of nieces and nephews now with their own new families scattered around Australia and the world and it's hard to keep track of births and birthdays and Facebook works for that.
