Catch up ride. November 18, 2017

Hi guys, after a long absence & having my bike finally back on the road again after a receiving a new paint job, I'm thinking of planning a catch up ride.
It's been a long time since I've seen anyone from this forum, & now that the weather is too good to be spent indoors, it would be a perfect opportunity for a group of us to meet up & head out on a day ride somewhere, preferably on a Saturday.
The plan would be to stop for a pub lunch, and maybe the odd pub refreshment break in between.
This invitation extends to any new forum members & their friends / family who may wish to join in, the more the merrier.
I'm leaving options open as to where people might be interested in going, & or places of interest to see.
Please, if you have any ideas to share and are able to make it, I'd like your input before the end of October, so I can make any bookings for lunch, work out a route, & any required fuel stops.
Be good to see you again,
Regards,
Ash.
Ride Update 9:00 am departure from Alfred James Funeral car park, corner of King street & Wellington street, Alberton.

Good luck with that mate, battling to get 10 people for a national forum run from this site with over a year in advance. Pretty piss poor.

Hi guys, just a heads up for those interested in getting out on their bike for a decent days riding.
Please meet at Alberton BP OTR for a prompt 9:00am departure.
Plans are
to stop at Myponga Micro brewery for a brief refreshment break, then onto Strathalbyn via Delamere, Victor Harbor & Middleton.
Lunch will be at Strathalbyn approximately 12:30pm, hopefully Spook can meet join us for a feed / catch up.
Return journey will be via a scenic hills route, hopefully will be back in suburbia around 4pm.
Let me know via private message if you are able to attend, no later than the weekend before, so I can book enough tables for lunch.
I hope to see you all again soon.
Cheers, Ash.

Good to see you again, Steelo and Ash. It has to be said that it's disappointing that Ash did not receive more support from forum members. Yeah, I know everyone has a life but there hasn't been an SA forum run for a while. There were some other fellows along but I didn't get to meet them as they shot through after they scoffed a meal at a different venue. Thanks Ash for putting in the effort to organise the ride, mate.

Thanks for organising the run today Ash. I had a great time. I met Ash and 4 other riders at the OTR on Brighton Road. Took the Lonsdale Highway to South Road and on to the Smiling Samoyed brewery at Myponga where we had a quick pint. Then on to Yankalilla and a fantastic run along flawless sweeping roads from Delamere across the hills and through the forests to Victor Harbor. Stopped for a fuel. Then continued on to Strathalbyn for a late lunch with Spook at Caffe Ruffino. Quick run up through Woodchester to Mt Barker and back along the freeway to home. A little disappointing turnout by the HD Forum folk considering how long the ride had been planned by Ash. We put it down to the Christmas Pageant taking priority.
