    Hi All
I hadn't ridden the bike for about 3 weeks and went to start it the other day, it wasn't cold but it just started, and I mean just. Is this normal, does the security system draw that much out of the battery.

Its a standard 103 engine with stage 1 and reprogrammed ECU.

    Regards

I had similar and now leave on a trickle charger 365 days (unless touring) and no problems since. 2015 Fat Bob.

My wifes 17 gsxr 750 is the same after about 3 weeks, dead as a door nail so it stays on charge while she away for the next 7 months.

Ok so I'm glad I'm not the only one. It seems the battery just doesn't have enough CCA. I was just comparing it to my Honda VRF, it can sit for 6 months and fires up straight away, even though it's got its original battery and it's an 09 model.
    Thanks for the info

    I have a 2015 Low Rider.
Battery died a couple of weeks ago 2 months out of warranty.
Check my post in the Workshop section
I put a Motobatt in it.
I think there is some truth to putting a rubber pad under your Jiffy stand.
They say it stops the drain to earth.

Ok I’ll try that, at the moment Its sitting on a piece of timber to keep the bike a bit more vertical, but I’ll add a bit of Rubber too.

had my bike off the road for 5 months this year ( long story ) was in the back of a workshop covered in crap.. started up with no issues..

but correct if your getting VIN EROR I think it says. means your ECU is getting low volts .. Battery is shagged

I bought the screaming eagle trickle charger ( probably the best product screaming eagle ever made ) my bike is always on the charger.. it will charge it till its full then it will turn off , it will come back on automatically when battery drops volts...

I had my bike is the workshop again for 5 weeks with no charger connected started straight up with no issues...

Well not sure if this is coincidence or what but I have had a piece of timber under the side stand hadn't started the bike for about 6 weeks and it was fine. Ill see what happens with the timber out and the stand on concrete.
