Fob Question

    Hi,
I have a spare fob that came with my 2009 Sporty that I have never used, but wanted to make sure that it operates just in case I ever need it.
I have changed the battery yet it still does not seem to cancel the alarm.
Is there a sequence or something I have to go through or do I have to take it to a dealer to get fixed?
    Cheers

Each bike can only have 2 fobs assigned to them at any one time.

New/replacement fobs can only be coded to the bike using the dealer digitech , takes 20 minutes or so. Fob plus coding around $100

So if you "lose" an original one , then get the dealer to "code" a new fob to the bike , then find the original , the "lost" original will not work.

Double check the new fob battery you have is good , AND that it's in the right way round

Also check that the little prongs the battery press into are bent up enough to make a good contact, I had issues because of that with one of my fobs.

    Cheers
