They may be lacking some features but there's no better screen or head unit HU available for the bike if yours is the 6.5 touch. AFAIK, there is no other brand compatible unit that will fit. (I may be wrong) You may want a better amp but it sounds like that has been updated already. The blutooth option or heard wired headset plugs will do nicely. I've read that the internal aerial does not detract and may even improve the radio reception. I have a rear aerial and quickly lose reception. I quickly switch channels or on to recorded music. If you do decide to change HU, let me know, I'd like to buy yours.
I have found some options
Bagger radio kit
Biketronics retro radio

I think the external antenna looks great and an added bonus would be if you ever have to herd a flock of sheep or goats on a ride, you have a handy encouragement stick.
May also work at a pub for the bugger who won't join the shout.

Have a look at hdforums Yankee site and biketronics site. Biketronics is made in USA and offers life time warranty. Customer service is excellent. Cheaper than Harley gear and better quality IMHO

TJU,
Another issue you or others may not have addressed is the height of your hands. I noticed you have quite high bars that the fairing doesn't protect compared possibly to the others that state they don't have an issue with at the 100km mark. It could be that your hand position is distorting the normal air flow past and causing problems?
Just a thought.....

Hi Kym ... Definitely one of the many things I considered ... Not sure which picture you may have seen but I have changed the bars from the 14 inch Burleigh Bars to the 9 inch Harley Chiseled bars ... Have lowered the arms to about level with top of Fairing .
Changed them for other reasons as well but the turbulence factor came into the equation ... Still have to experiment with different size screens but still not convinced that the noise reduction technology of the Headsets is working as it should as the sensitivity of the microphone is way to sensitive even with the Vox settings turned all the way down .
Just feel like there should be a little shield in front of mouth piece as when experimenting with putting hand in front of mouth piece it seems to be a fraction better ... But still absolutely useless at any thing over 80 or 90 K's ,which of course is annoying especially when others say they have no problems at higher Speeds .
There are some little under fairing wind deflectors for Road Glides that are supposed to help with wind turbulence so will try them as well .
It's an ever ongoing learning curve but as I come from a background of not having headsets / music / intercom and so on not overly worried about it ... Except for the old equation that if it works for others then why isn't it working on my system ... Will keep trying different things ... Cheers .
