The images will tell the story, the last photo is were I would be welding or sticking together
In short I'm looking to fix this cutdown taillight to the side plate bracket
Can I spot weld the two together or will the heat fuck the light somehow there both steel
If welding is out can I stick it on and what would i use, silicone, striker flex .....
Or maybe theres another way

Hey bd, I personally have used Araldite (smells shit, yeah remember) for sealing my 2 Honda Four cases after chain stretch, and was good for long time, and used for other shit joining. Do you want to change down the track, and if so does it need to be "unconnected" from housing is a question.? I like drill and bolt method though.

Sikaflex! It is a construction adhesive similar to silicon but better and stronger and will last a lifetime. Better than araldite IMHO.

Funny but every glue recommended sets hard rock hard
I would have thought a rubber type glue like silicon would have been better but I know fuck all
maybe because of the constant vibrations .... not that Harley's vibrate

maybe look at Sikaflex products then?
they will adhere and offer some form of flexibility
the stuff door skins and bonnets are 'glued' to frames with
