What tyres are you fellas using on your superlows

I have discovered my tyres are perishing (probably because they've been sitting for so long) and the good old dealership is wanting to peal almost $900 off me for Scorcher 11 fitted. An independent bike shop wants about $700. That seems a bit over the top so the custom shop in town said they could do Metzeler Roadtec Z6 for $540 fitted. That's starting to sound more like a figure I can live with, but before I order them in, I wanted to see what everyone else is running and what sort of prices you're paying. I'm told the Superlow uses a bit of a dicky size this makes it a bit harder I suppose.
Thanks in advance,
Ben.

That's the front tyre if you're interested.

I've been running shinko 777 for a while now on my Superlow and love them and can't go wrong for price either

The independent shop mentioned them but his prices were worse than Metzelers and he wouldn't fit them because they weren't an exact fit, or so he says.

Well my superlow sat in the shed for around 5 years due to getting married + having a child.
Now that time has progressed i'm back out on the bike again.
Took the bike for a ride over the weekend for close 300kms through twisties from Wagga to Tumbarumba through to Jingelic and onto Albury and back home. I scrubbed out the last of the rear tyre. the shoulders of the rear tyre wore down real fast. Tyre pressure was spot on, i just think the tyres have perished. Front tyre has around 30% tread left but it feels dry. Replacing both as these tyres are now seven years old.
The bike has only done 13,000 kms. However, those 13,000 kms were on the the original scorchers. Not bad mileage. Local tyre fitter quoted me $590 fitted for front and rear. Holy fuck, 900 at a dealer is a rip off!!!!
I've got a set of Pirelli Angel GT on the way. $450 to my door. Will fit and balance them myself. First time fitting cruiser tyres but used to change all of my own tyres and balance on my dirt bikes back in the day.
The front is a direct match for size and weight load - 120/70 ZR18 (59W) The rear is slightly wider by 10mm (makes for no fitment problem at all) 160/60 ZR 17 (69W) compared to the scorcher which is 150/60 ZR 17 (66W). The Pirelli is 3 points better load rating than the michelin.
Long story short is the Pirelli get great reviews, meet and exceed the stock Michelin specs and are cheaper. Will write up a review once they're on the bike with a couple of of hundred km's on them.

I thought Harley does free fitting if you buy tyres from them ...
Some shops are a compele rip off!!

The local might fit them "free" and build the price into the tyre price. Either way, I got the Metzelers fitted yesterday and giggled like a little girl all the way home. I still can't believe hoe much nicer the bike feels now. Ended up costing $540 fitted, and the mechanic fitted a new grip for free because the thought it felt a bit loose. I can't say I noticed but hey, free is free.
