    Hi all
On the hunt for a good backrest for my 2012 Street Glide for when I do bigger rides. Has anyone used this one before. I know you can get cheaper ones but I want one that is good quality.

That style is a PITA to remove when you don't want it there Steve. I went to the OEM HD one with the spring fingers and height adjustment. The HD version can also be moved forward and aft through 6 positions. This is important because unless they're set up spot-on for you, they're useless. I'd also suggest a spare FLHR or FLHRC seat, makes the whole thing more comfortable.

Hey Steve L, see my post re an ebay back rest similar to yours.  Got one for my fatty that bolts on between the two seats.  On and off in a matter of seconds and the angle etc. is ideal for supporting my back.  I have T-bars on the bike so tend to lean a little further forward as well.  Still able to lay back and get support for my back.  Not sure if the design like mine will fit yours tho.  Or if they have them to suit.  Worth a look as Im very happy with mine.

As Nutty said, go original HD for the benefit of adjustability, mine is very comfortable and much needed due to a spinal injury years ago.
