    Gday all,
I have a 103 fxdf with SEHB SERT and Rush slip ons. I want a torque cam do i need CR for the SE cams? 255,254? if so do use no the $$ on a manual CR.
other wise was looking at the 26H cams but have concerns about the tune cause the SE cams are ready to go on the SERT (base tune).
    Cheers

If your engine is a factory 103 it should already have auto decompression in the heads.
Best torque cam for that is the Andrews 48h. If you were only considering Se cams some would suggest the se255 cam but I reckon the compression in your engine is marginally too high and it can cause problems with detonation (they also run hot). The se204 cam would work well and better than the se254e which wants a fraction more compression to shine.

Don't limit yourself to Se cams because of the Se calibrations. The calibrations are really just starting points and your bike will run so much better and smoother with a proper dyno tune.

    I second the 48s, just put a set in a stock 96 and a stock 103.
I was shocked with the results, both  bikes pull hard and are fun to ride.
    ( after a dyno tune).
    Great cam.

Any decent places in sydney for harley dyno tuning I only no of harley heaven or rb racing not sure if they handle sert? Are the harley shops keen to tune other branded cams or only deal with SE stuff. Andrews cams are like $200 cheaper than SE, they no how to charge.....

La Cycles at hoxton Park seems to have a good rep. Never used them personally as I'm not in Sydney

Also thinking about cams, so thought I's chime in as well.

What about the new S&S M103 cam or the older 585 or 583, how are these when compared to the Andrews 48 & 57 H ?

Also considering the Woods TW 5-6 or 6-6.

Just to confuse the issue :)

    Cheers

    Gday,
I was wanting to stick with SE cause l  have a sert. Didn't realize the 103 come std with CR? So I'll probably go the se255 cause I want a torque cam had bigger cams before and really missed what you lose from idle to 2000-2500.
I have se adj p/r at home just need cams bearings gaskets. I got the rest as I did cam swop about 4yrs ago. So was thinking of doing the swop download the sert map see how she runs. I've had a cnt of a yr and just want to keep busy bit of cheap fun. Got diagnosed with bowel cancer in feb it's bad think grade 3-4 I'm to scared to ask the oncologists I've had enough bad news done 9 rds of chemo lost about 23kg  have one session then ct scan. I was a garbo on randwick council they stopped paying me in July but have held my job? So I'm trying to get dsp. Luckily have great family n friends and I'll beat this shit. No matter how bad your day is relax it can get way worse brothers.

keen to hear how this goes as I am chasing a bit more out of my 103. Aiming for around 100hp and going by this thread cams and a tune will get me very close.
