Yeah it was but I thought I had done it right the first time but obviously not. At least it puts more info out there for anyone else who is thinking about doing this themselves.

heat shrink is handy if your joining/extending harness,if you have room to move the tube away from the solder joint.

Yeah I used heat shrink tube on the joins on the handlebar looms and for the tbw I bought a new one from HD with the extended harness and didn't use the green plug but instead just put the bigger plug on it which connects to the bikes loom.
