There's an ALDI Special buy on the 19 august , Motorcycle gear (helmets , gloves etc) . Am assuming that it's nation wide and not just in WA.

I have one of their leather jackets, nice heavy grade leather and good construction. Must have a look on the 19th since they only have small numbers of each size. 

They do not have an outlet up here

Got 2 pairs of the socks on a special buy day a few years ago. Very comfortable and have lasted well. 

I've the Aldi waterproof textile jacket and pants. They proved their worth on the Round-the-Block ride last year when we encountered some inclement weather across the Nullabor and in SW WA. Not sure that Aldi have these this coming sale. Given you can pay upwards of $500 for similar these were great value for around $220 for both jacket and pants!! Highly recommended.

I bought something (gloves?) once from Aldi and I noticed the sizes were fucking nuts - XL for a 12 year old Chinese girl's hands maybe.  Try shit on is my advice.

Went to aldi this morning. Lucky I was on time as it was like a plague of locusts 

Got 6 pairs of the bike socks, and two thermal tops

I got a pair of their jeans and on your recommendation lofty I got three pairs of socks. They seem.pretty good. I'm sticking to my Kathmandu thermals which are more exxy but awesome. 

Picked up two pair of socks annd  a balaclava with a thick neck cover that goes deep into the jacket, the jackets look almost the same as the one I have and just as heavy. I looked at the thermal tops and will think about them though on cold days I am normally dressed for the day plus bike jacket I really only need heated gloves as I feel the cold in my hands more than anywhere else.

Got there early enough and grabbed some socks. Had them before so I know they're good.

First thing I notice is every fat fuck with the flu is in the store, plus 99% of the cities elderly population - all going through the motorcycle gear.  Wanted thermals, but they were all taken apart so I didn't fancy trying them on.

Also wanted a spare full face helmet too,  in case of passenger.  One guy trying them on had the added bonus of the worst face eczema (?) and snot nose I've ever seen.  He sneeze tested the visor, then calmly put it back in the box and grabbed another one.  So I grabbed a box from the back/bottom and made sure it was sealed.

 I figured XL (I'm a L most times) but after realising is probably wouldn't fit over my left nut, let alone my head, I put it back.  Lucky I took my own advice and checked the sizing.

Ha ha loved the read of the shopping experience. Currently in Bali so know full well that Xl is really for a anorexic dwarfs either that or 200 Bintang beers have made me a blimp

Wifey and I went for a look. All the gear looked ok. Socks looked good. Leather jackets and boots were as tough as nails. Jacket felt like a straight jacket. Helmets looked ok but looked massive when you put one on. Gloves were made for midgets. Bought a bike cover for Wifies bike. A lot of gear was ripped open and people trying stuff and a a lot of advertised items not even there for sale. Same old story I think you get what you pay for.

Went back to Prospect Rd store today, and they still had heaps there, no blu tooth headsets, but got another 2 sets of thermals for the missus and me, and another 10 pairs of socks.

bd 2 pairs of 11 to watever plus my lucky Mrs.  got a pair of the smaller size 6 to 10.  Plus, bought a motorcycle cover that looks like it can double up as a friggen tent. 

I got the cover too, great value
