Harley Trickle charger

    Hi All 
    I havent ridden my bike in 6 weeks, and on saturday i took it for a ride to a mates house to do mods. 

    it was on trickle charge but it still didnt kick over. 

    We got it started by jumping it . 

    has anyone ever had this problem even while on trickle charge ? i thought the whole point was so that wouldnt happen

    the main fuse mate ? or a fuse on the plug lead of the trickle charger

    Buggered battery perhaps?  My old battery was on the way out and even the trickle charger was not enough to keep it alive.

    hopefully not the battery , brought a new one a few years ago , has always been on charge . 
    i started it yesterday and took it for a spin and it was fine . 

    Ill check the fuse , but i think it should be fine if the charger is working

    hey custo its a harley trickle charger so all good on that front 
    prob not the best one out there lol

    Had the same no start problem with my 110. On charger, green light but no start. Took batt to hd for analysis, report said batt ok 13 volts etc but only 220 cca (should more like 330) so 220 ain't turning over a 110.  Think the dopey hd charger just looks at volts.

    Just brought a ssb xr batt hope its great like you all say lol

    Use the C-Tek charger is not bad at all after 10 plus years, of plug in.. Think changed battery after 3 years due to other issues, so is not always the first and easy solution which is at fault.
    My Regulator and stator may have to be updated, very soon. Baloff.

    Bloody computer, and line is a fucked unit atm. sorry double dipped.

    got the battery ssb xr , fk guys very powerful , does not struggle to start , starts in half a sec , very happy .
    pain in the ass to install on the battery an space on the sportster
