My bike came with the upgraded speedo/tach which has the fuel gauge and range features but I found out that I don't have the level sensor installed.  This is a $200 part from HH and I want to fit one to get these extra features.  Only problem is that I've read some posts on overseas forums that once the speedo marries itself to the bike, some people have had trouble getting it to detect the fuel level sensor.  Just wondering if any locals have done this?

It would be pain to remove the fuel pump and fit the sensor into the tank only to have the speedo ignore it.
