just finished putting it all back together  lights all come on when ignition is turned on then go out when starting , took it for a run check engine light comes on and stays on, any ideas? all new oil and filter 

I had that once when riding: turned out to be the front brake lever sticking, which meant the rear brake light was on too long. Worked the lever and engine light went off.
