2 nd year for this event ... Great place for a rally / bike show .
Hoping the organisers took on board the bikers comments from last year as he had no idea how to put on a event like this .

Got the impression he thought it was going to be some sort of Concourse rally where everyone trailered their bikes in ..

We rode up for the day as only live about 3 hours away and heard nothing but bad things from people there ... But as mentioned above it has the potential to be a great show for years to come as long as he listens to people a little .

Will definitely give it a second chance though .

I am hoping you are right Tengy ... As mentioned above it has the potential to be a great show / rally .
Really great location ... Been up there before when the Jackie Howel festival was on with all the Old time demonstrations were on .

Any how fingers crossed the half a dozen people I spoke to were expecting to much for a first time show ... Every one deserves a second chance .

I will throw some pics and review when I get back.

The Southern Cross poker run is the week or so later so that has made it hard for some blokes to do both.

Looking forward to it. On the bike alone and going to meet up with some good blokes and a drink, what vintage bike rally ??

Well did you end up getting there Tengy ... What did you think ... We got there 11.30 on Saturday , absolutely majestic day for riding , great location BUT no way any one could call that a successful bike show / rally .
Only 2 food outlets , sadly not well staffed , food was nice though ... And what 3 or 4 stalls , pretty poor I'm afraid ... We headed off to Dalby for the night and some back country road riding on Sunday .

Went last year and gave it another chance this year but sorry only gets a 4 out of 10 from me and that's down to the beautiful location ... If still going in 3 or 5 years might give it another go but will really need to pick the act up .

Hope you had a better time if you were staying the night .

I did make it down there Friday arvo. Left Sunday. Got home yesterday.
There was a few of us and had all the mod cons so the food outlets weren't a problem. The food that was there was very good and there was a little more on the Sunday. Coffee was very good. I didn't hear of the food running out like some other events.
The turn out was a little shy, the events few and far between and the rider skills track had hay all over the ground. It would have been interesting.
Location is great, the facilities were good but being the first time it was a learning curve.
Was a long way to go for what was there but we made the most of it and had a good time. The potential for this to become a big event is there. There were still over 400 bikes and 100 vans with heaps of room for more. Coulda woulda shoulda
$219 in fuel for just under 3000 K's and broke nothing so I am happy.
I went in from Rocky via Dululu, Banana, Taroom, Chinchilla to Jondaryn. Mostly OK.

Good to see you had an Ok time there Tengy ... like you say it certainly has the potential to turn into a good show at a great location ... fingers crossed .

Saturday was a bloody Majestic day for riding ... wiil keep my ears open over the next couple of years to see if it grows a little .

On the same weekend the Dirty Love Show was on down Logan way at the Vets clubhouse / compound which i totally forgot about ... mate went and said it was huge , oh well next year .
