Lifter wear

    Pulled these from my 2012 roadking today, 50,000 ks.

    As you can see not looking good. All four were this bad.
    Pulled mates as well from 07 fatboy yesty with same amount of ks and they looked good, not a mark.


    I know the stock B lifters get a bad rap and have heard people talking of high failure rate and understandable looking at these.
    Question though, are the lifters in the fatty the B lifters and what year did they change?
    Won't matter a fuck as both are replaced, it's just more out of interest.

    The "B" lifters are the last of the decent OEM units.
    They changed to the Mexico "C" version around 2010 - that's likely what you have pictured.

    2 of the 4 lifters in my 2013 street bob looked similar to that at about 8000km

    OK then Chriso,,, Looks like we have some idea of the history of  HD lifters  ..... More importantly ,, what the fuck are you doing messing around in   the Road King ???

    No doubt some nice little mods,  (I knew you could'nt help yourself)   ...... Dont  keep it a secret .... Do tell !!!!

    haha naa very moderate this one mate, just set of andrews 48s, inner cam bearings and tensioners whilst in there.
    Put some rineharts on and a cobra air filter. 

    Oh also put some new SE lifters in that i had sittin in the shed.
