Dyno SAE and STD

    could someone please explain the difference in Dyno run sheets as I see some sheets use STD and others SAE
    if there a difference between the 2 and if so is the a math formula one could work with to take say an SAE run to a STD figures

    SAE is a setting or weather setting, so you can do a direct comparison . like if u are planing on developing a motor and making changes denoting to see how they work. if your using SAE you don't have to worry what the air quality or weather was like one day to another. as air quality can effect the power and tQ. std will show changes one day to another, std might show more hp & tq & SAE might show less HP & TQ. i notice most dyno print outs in Australia all show STD. the dyno operators will say everyone else show that.
    but for me i ask for SAE if i'm planing future changes so i can directly compare, but even though SAE can show less it can also show more if the air quality was poor on the day, you can also ask the dyno operator to show you all the different settings they can call up like DIN SAE STD and others, i also like to time my dyno run to see how quick HP & TQ comes in. i like the tune that makes most HP & TQ the quickest
