Jaycar USB Charger wiring kit

I've been meaning to hook up a usb socket on my bike and have looked at various options. I ended up with this wiring kit from Jaycar. It has a usb socket at one end and the two pin SAE connector at the other. It cost $23. The SAE connector is the same one used commonly on battery tenders. So for a simple option, you can connect it directly to the battery tender lead. Although be aware that any devices connected will continue to drain the battery when the bike is off.
I ended up wiring mine to switched power, as I didn't want it connected directly to the battery.

I made up my own triple Cigarette lighter plug ( charger) and plugged into Trickle charger SAE plug, on my Sporty. I also use same set up on my FXST, which also runs my GPS & charges mobile or what ever.

Kingchops, I put the exact same socket on my old Fatty - worked a treat and am thinking about putting one on the new bike.
Quality seemed pretty good and had no issues over the roughly 2 years I had it fitted.
I wired it straight to the battery via the inline fuse as I only used it for charging the phone when riding, so didn't need the connector.

I also installed the same Jaycar item a few months back. Yes, great for phone charging whilst riding.
