    Hi All,
I'm trying to tune my sportster a little better. There's nothing particularly wrong with how its running but I feel like it's not at it's full potential. The photo is after about 10km on brand new plugs. Looks lean to me but I'm no expert. What's the consensus?

Thank you. I've just purchased this bike and working through it's issues has been a fun learning curve. Just a bit stumped if I'm worrying over nothing or it needs fixing up. I suppose I could try rejetting if i can get the carb apart. Previous owner stripped every nut and bolt on this thing!

yeah....  do you really expect an informed opinion from the forum when you include bugger all information about the bike and its setup?  What bike, year, model carb, jetting, efi etc?????

That's my mistake. It's a 2003 883r, stock carby, jetting I'm unsure of as I cant get the carburetor apart. All the screws are stripped. My main concern is how difficult it is to start which lead me to think it's not getting enough fuel as I have to give the throttle a lot to get it started up. Uninformed opinion at best but that's why I'm here asking questions. I was told it has screamin eagle cam and ignition but everything else is standard. I think I probably need to buy some replacement screws and get the carby apart before proceeding any further. Just thought there may have been an immediate red flag on the plug that I wasn't seeing considering it was only about ten minutes old. Thank you for the help, Ill bring more info to the table next time.
